After upgrading to VirtualCenter 2.0.2, Update 1 the WebAccess default home page shows no links. The screen looks similar to the following:
Resolution: On an upgrade to VirtualCenter 2.0.2 Update 1, the installer does not copy all the files required for the webpageto be viewed properly. To solve the issue follow these steps:
Navigate to the following folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\VMware\VMware VirtualCenter\docRoot
Create a folder called 'en'
Download the attached welcomeRes.zip and extract welcomeRes.js to the newly created folder
Once this is done, you should be able to properly open the VirtualCenter webpage. Note: This problem only occurs on an upgrade of VirtualCenter, fresh installations are not affected.
welcomeRes.zip is attached.
Hi,
Have just applied the "fix", but am still getting the same error. Webpage is still coming up semi-blank.
Any of you rocket scientists got any other ideas?
Any suggestions welcome!

Mmmm, thought it may be the browser cache, as it works from other pc's, but to no avail.
Hi Paul et al,
I had this problem also after using update 2 but your post saved my life
thnx!

I'm sure you figured this out already, but if you're running on W2k3 you'll want to add the URL to your trusted sites list. I found that with enhanced IE security enabled, I would only see the correct page when using trusted URLs, even after adding welcomeRes.js. It wouldn't even prompt me to authorize the script. Once the URL is trusted, works perfectly.
Worked for me. Thanks!!!!!!!!
Thanks as well for posting this -- still not fixed in 2.0.2 Update 3 so I was quite happy to find this in the forums.
