I have some Questions about Below
I have HP Proliant DL 580 G7 , one Intel Xeon X7560 and one Intel Xeon E7-4860 on Both ESXi5.1 Servers
got the message of
"Host CPU is incompatible with the virtual machine's requirements at CPUID level 0x1 register 'ecx'.
Host bits: 0000:0010:1001:1000:0010:0010:0000:0011
Required: x000:0x0x:10x1:1xx0:xxx0:xx1x:xxxx:xx01
Mismatch detected for these features:
* AES-NI
* PCLMULQDQ"
So went to KB http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=103492...
as suggested by Error
Had a quick look on the Intel Xeon X7560 to check for Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) and Carry-less Multiplication (PCLMULQDQ) but didnt find that
Could you please advise ?
How to choose the Suitable EVC mode for that hosts ?
is creating a new Cluster with one of the EVC modes is an option would solve that issue ? as I remember Hostsboth hosts didnt meet on any EVC Intel options in List
