Regarding configuring CIM authentication, should it work with a non-root account? Are there any known restrictions on the type of local account? The customer tried with local account setup for AD authentication and it did not work. Also, do we know if the CIM service is PAM aware?
I am have looked at the CIM API guides for vSphere 4 with no luck.
