reconfigvm vnc

I have a vSphere and I want to modify vnc settings for VM, but when I use reconfig vm, it dosen't work unless I reboot the VM.

However, I could not find any docs to explain why

So, do I have to reboot?

Use reconfigvm in java sdk to set vnc parameters, must restart vm to take effect?

Hello!

I find the doc of SDK, and see this:

but my vSphere's version is 7.0.3, it doesn't work unless reboot
