Howdy
I'm not even sure if this is posible, but I heard that you could replace the Windows XP login screen with the View Client, so that when the computer/Thin Client turns on, the first thing you see is a login for the view client, and upon entering credentials, you are connected to the VM. Loging out of the VM brings you back to the "Computer/View Client" login screen.
Is there something similar to this in Windows 7?
I would like a way for my users to be able to connect to a VM as quickly and easily from these thin clients as posible, making them more into terminals than actual thin clients.
HP Thin Client t5745, Windows 7 embeded standard, View 3.5 (eeeww, we are upgrading soon.)
Thanks Everyone, any ideas or sugestions are welcome

Yep Gina has been replaced with another credential system called ICredentialProvider
It seems very tricky (and not very documented) but I found some Microsoft sources for you :

and
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb776042%28v=vs.85%29.aspx
Hope this helps you but requires some programming with the API. And, please, don't forget to score.
Cheers
Pretty sure all you have to do is replace the Windows GINA:

I am not too sure about this one if we are talking about Windows 7. Windows 7 changes the security model for windows and as such does not use GINA.
Wow, yep, missed that change. This used to be simple.

What if you could setup some type of autologin to Windows 7 with a generic account and then have the View client autostart. This way the only credentials that would be needed are the ones to login to View.
Thanks Everyone, this is a big help. Can't say I was expecting I would need to program the API. I will have to play with it

You should follow mittim's advice - configure autologin on the box and then run the view client as shell. See http://blogs.vmware.com/view/2009/02/vmware-view-client-as-a-shell-for-xpe-and-xp-pro-clients.html for an example, the same general process should apply for Windows 7.
Edit: above link is for looping the launch. To configure it as shell in the first place, this post covers the basics via GUI methods (you can also do the same by directly editing the registry): http://communities.vmware.com/message/1639879#1639879
