interrupting system shutdown

When you shut down OSX and Fusion is running - you get that message that says "shutdown interrupted" and then Fusion is suspended and you have to shutdown again.

What about an option that allows you to choose "On system shutdown: Suspend Guest, Shutdown Guest, or Prompt". Wouldn't this even work with multiple running guests?

You

need to suspend or shutdown the Virtual Machine before you shut down the Host

Mac system

I know that - but I want Fusion running when I start and I don't want to shut it down manually.

If there is a timing issue with shutting it down, just recall system shutdown after it is done.

I think I wrote a scriptlet once to get past this problem. I don't have it in my Leopard installation but I could look for it if you want it.

I posted on this a while back. The response was that it is a known problem, so perhaps a fix will eventually make it into a release.

Very cool! I'd still like to see it in the product. Please let me know if you find the script!
