How to add (associate) a physical NIC to a vSwitch. (Java)

Hi all,

I've created a vSwitch, port group, vnic etc. but I can't work out how to add a physical nic to the vSwitch.

Can anybody give me a clue or point me towards some doco that discusses this? I have a gnawing feeling that I've missed something obvious - or I'm barking up a wrong tree somewhere...
